What do you enjoy doing on the weekends or after work?

During the warmer weather I love to be outside in the sun and near water. I will relax by the river or go paddle boarding at Quinn’s Pond. I am absolutely obsessed with documentaries and love learning new things, and I often watch something in the evenings. Recently I have been getting into the gym and have begun weightlifting as well as experimenting with new cooking styles and recipes.

Are you a cat or a dog person?

One of my jobs during college was working at the humane society with dogs and I loved it! I also grew up with dogs and cats in my home and really love all furry friends. I go between liking dogs or cats more, but currently I am more of a cat person! I live with two dogs and a cat who has three legs and is just adorable.

Why do you love BBBS?

This is a program with such an enormous impact on our community with regards to both the adults and children who participate in it. I love that the match process and relationship development create lasting change in the lives of everyone involved and can truly open a world of possibilities for children who need a Big Brother or Sister. In my time as a substitute teacher, I saw the need for this program in the lives of many of the students I was around, and I am thrilled to now be a part of this team that is making a lasting difference in the world!
