We are mindful of the time and energy it takes to complete the enrollment process. This checklist is to help ensure best fit, as well as the safety and well-being of our matches.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a mentor with big brothers big sisters

To help determine if volunteering for our program is a good fit for you, please review the checklist below before moving on to the next steps of the enrollment process.

I am at least 18-years-old and have time to meet with a Little 2-3 times per month; OR I am at least 16-years-old (or a Junior in high school) and have time to meet with a Little once a week during the school year, either during the Little’s lunch or after school.

I can make a commitment of at least three months.

I have an Idaho State driver’s license or Identification Card; OR I am a student or in the military and have a driver’s license or ID from another state.

I have access to reliable transportation and can provide proof of current auto insurance and registration.

I consent to and agree to pay $25 towards the cost of a background check. (NOT REQUIRED FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS).

I consent to getting my fingerprints taken.

I am not currently experiencing or anticipating any major life changes in the next year (i.e., moving, change in employment, going to college, getting married, divorce, starting a family, etc).

I enjoy spending time with children and I am excited about getting to know my Little.

I can imagine incorporating a Little into my everyday life and I hope I can make a difference in the life of my Little.
