Welcoming new staff to the BBBS team
As we move into the 4th quarter of the year, we’ve had a lot going on at the BBBS office! Three new staff members joined the team, bringing our office staff to a total of nine people working full time to support empowering, igniting & defending potential for youth, families, and mentors in the Treasure Valley. Welcome, Emily Williams (Marketing & Events Coordinator) Olga Delgadillo, and Maria Sifuentes (both Match Support Specialists).
Olga was born and raced in Morelia Michoacán, Mexico, and immigrated to Idaho when she was eleven. Her family lived in Grace where her father worked as a farmer, and she now lives in Boise with a family of her own. She earned a bachelor’s degree at Boise State University in Spanish and knows that she will have a huge impact on BBBS families because not only is she passionate about the job, but also is a mom of 3 children who are Littles in the program. With both staff and parent viewpoints, she offers invaluable perspectives to the program.
Maria was born & raised in the Treasure Valley, with her family coming from Coahuila, Mexico. She is the mother of three and loves staying active with her family, including two dogs and a cat. She enjoys yoga, Zumba, meditating, reading, and cooking. After earning a double major at BSU, she taught for 5 years, then returned to get her Master’s in Bilingual Ed. Having taught for many years, she now looks forward to working with families one on one.
Also a Spanish/English speaker and a Boise native, Emily joins the team with decades of experience in the local nonprofit sector. She has spent the last 20 years teaching Spanish, not to mention her incredibly cool job as the Kidfort Director at Treefort Music Fest. Emily has her Bachelor’s degree in Experience Design and Youth Leadership, finding this position at BBBS to be a perfect blend of all her passions in one place.
Adding these dynamic women to our already strong and dedicated staff will no doubt launch BBBS of SW Idaho into a successful new year of growth and creativity.
