What is your favorite quote?

“Everyone fails at who they’re supposed to be, Thor. The measure of a person, of a hero, is how well they succeed at being who they are.” – Thor’s mom

While this comes from the nerdiest of sources, Marvel’s movie End Game, it is a line that has stuck with me. Trying to conform to societal expectations or predefined roles often leads to failure. Allowing yourself to live authentically and genuinely you can embrace your identity and individuality. Basically, remember to stay true to yourself and it will all work out.

What is your favorite thing to cook or bake?

Basically, anything I haven’t made before. I love to make delicious things (especially for loved ones). If you catch me on my phone, I am most likely pursuing the New York Times Cooking app looking for new and fun things to make. Fan favorites (my favorites because I am my biggest fan) are my apple pie, birria, and lemon chicken piccata.

Why do you love BBBS?

I love the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters. As a former Big, I have personally seen the impact that I had in my Little’s life but also felt the impact she left in mine. The program’s focus on mentorship and support resonates with my personal desire to make a meaningful difference in my community.
