There are many different ways to put a little Magic in a child's life. Read here to find out which way is best for you.
Little Moments Big Magic!
You can make a difference just by being yourself.
Imagine a child's eyes lighting up the first time he or she walks into a baseball stadium or sees a fireworks show. Not only can you be there when it happens, but you can be the reason it did. With the help of dedicated and fun volunteers, Big Brothers Big Sisters is able to provide positive adult friendships for many Treasure Valley youth. BBBS has volunteer opportunities to fit any lifestyle or schedule. You can participate in the following:
Community Program
Share activities with a child that you both enjoy! Catch that big fish, scream for your favorite sports team, beat each other at dominos - the list is endless. Two or three times a month you get to share a little magic with a young person. Volunteers are 18 and older.
Be A Big Couple
A Big Couple is a married couple matched with a Little Brother in our Community Program who gives the child an excellent model of a loving, healthy relationship. A great opportunity to volunteer together!
Site-Based Mentoring Programs
YMCA
Share a book with your Little, or figure out a story problem together, then go jump in the pool or have a fierce game of foosball. Getting to go to the YMCA with a kid is a license to play. Volunteers can be high school students or adults and meet with their Little every-other Wednesday evening. Programs at all Treasure Valley YMCA Locations. Contact

Boys & Girls Clubs
Share your time with a child at the Nampa or Garden City Boys & Girls Clubs. Matches meet once a week at the Clubs for an hour. Play basketball, share art projects, play board games, or do computer activities.
School Mentoring:
Remember the little desks and yummy hot lunches of elementary school? Visit your Little Brother or Little Sister each week at their school, go out for recess - escape to the third grade again. Volunteers range from juniors in high school to seniors in life! The volunteer and child meet at the child's school for one hour each week. There are a variety of elementary schools in the Boise, Meridian, and Kuna school districts to choose from.

Other Volunteer Opportunities:
Not ready to be a Big? Sign up for a
Bigs for a Day activity or join one of our special events planning committees.
Volunteer Support:
Much time and effort goes into the effective matching of a volunteer with a child. BBBS Enrollment and Match Support Specialists spend time getting to know the volunteers and children in order to create a match that will be successful. A professional staff member is there to encourage, guide, and support the volunteer/child relationship!
